Career/Work Accomplishments
DR. DAVE JOHNSON is a full-time freelance journalist, political consultant and nationally known blogger. He also frequently lectures at the University of South Florida (in Tampa) on the paradigm and nexus of social work, social justice and peculiarities of the (im)pure participatory political process.
Politics/Political Experience
DR. DAVE has been intensely immersed in the fertile fields and fountainheads of American politics almost since birth: At the tender age of nine, he served as a Page in the Alabama State Legislature and as special administrative assistant to the Speaker of the House; by his late teens, he was working as chief press secretary for a maverick Congressional candidate; and, by his early twenties, Dave had already attained the first of many degrees, a bachelor of arts in political science.

DR. DAVE was baptized at the age of 10 and is thus a near-lifelong member of the mainstream churches of Christ (centered primarily in Tennessee, Texas and Alabama and sometimes referred to as the 'Stone/Campbell' Branch).
HE IS A widower, married for 13 blissful years to his sole wife/life partner Karol Stewart-Johnson of Blue Mountain, Ala., who passed to the next plateau far too soon in 2009 at the age of 52. Dave & Karol married relatively late in life (37 & 39) and were never blessed with children/Dave stands ready & willing to serve fulltime

Semi-professional chessplayer since the age of 10; peak rating of Class 'A,' two steps below a Master; amassed two national titles among numerous sanctioned competitions
