Gens Una Sumus ('We are One People')/ We The People of Florida====

*Our Faces, Our Hopes, Our Dreams...* -In Many, WE ARE ONE~..

[THE SAND-LADEN Tapestry of Florida's rich multicultural heritage and history is ingrained

inextricably with one powerful 'product' perpetually permeating the mix, above all others:

THE PEOPLE. No matter how majestic the sunrise, how refreshing the citrus beverage, or how

reverent and revolution-infused the twilight breeze, at the end of the day, Florida is com-

prised of one magical, mystical, mysterious element that defiantly defines each & every square and

thread of this beautiful bold tapestry. In the Sunshine State, there is no denying the pure power of

the people, nor the reciprocal, redemptive love those same people have for Florida. Truly, it is a state

like no other, in every sense of the word. Let us now cease our words & continue our salute:........]

'Talking Points'/Precise Platform Planks

for Hispanic Inclusion: ...Si Se Puede!~ ...

Not ONE More Deportation. NOT ONE MORE!!

1) The current composite cost of our (estimated) 12 million undocumented workers presently in the U.S. incurs an additional two percent to the existing infrastructure/tax base [that is, two cents for every dollar, or $1 per every 50]. It is important to note, no one is asking for an ADDITIONAL two cents for every dollar. That easy burden is ALREADY being paid and, we assert with every fiber of our soul & being, should be continued indefinitely in the interest of human compassion and national morality. Not to do so would be more hardheaded (& hardhearted) than the faces of the Founding Fathers on Mt. Rushmore.

2) Mathematically (or morally), it makes NO SENSE to persist in a shock wave of forced deportation(s) across the heartland. Just look at the numbers: Since 2007, total annual deportations have hovered above 300,000, and they have now reached the 400,000 threshold (but still below a half-million). At that rate, it would take 25 years(!!) to send everyone 'home.' Surely even a Mathematics 101 student can see the folly in adopting this ill-fated 'Greyhound solution.' :( No one is loading up any buses.

3) The sacrosanct 14th Amendment [1868], due process and equal protection clause, twice clearly states "any person" (rather than "any citizen"). It is obvious beyond measure that both tenets (due process, equal protection) apply FULLY to ALL undocumented workers THE VERY MINUTE THEIR FEET TOUCH U.S. SOIL. We need to (immediately) commence printing & processing thousands (or, hundreds of thousands) of little laminated cards so stating (in the manner of Miranda). Then, we can present them TO POLICE just as they happily recite to us the mantra of Miranda at every opportunity on the street.

4) President Trump's grumpy curmudgeon of a Secretary of Commerce -- Wilbur Ross -- insists he will include a "citizenship Question" on the main 2020 Census Form. THIS IS WAR -- and will, of course, strike fear and result in a horrific undercount, denying seats in Congress to progressive Districts and, further, diminishing funding for vital baseline social programs all across America. This repugnant, reprehensible, non-representative policy CANNOT be allowed to stand. WE MUST NOT STAND DOWN.

5) And, finally, just when you thought you had heard everything: President Trump's nitwit Secretary of Education -- Betsy DeVos -- has gone on record as stating she "does not care" if individual school districts and separate states "kick out" (or expel) Hispanic students whose parents are undocumented workers, despite the fact this violates established, longstanding U.S. law, common sense, and constitutional precedent. Ladies and gentlemen of the District, A WAR HAS BEEN DECLARED ... A VIRTUAL, LITERAL WAR against the Hispanic people, men, women and children, innocent hardworking residents of these United States who have tirelessly participated FOR DECADES in community, common cause and molding this land into the best home that it can be. WE MUST FIGHT. NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO 'BE NICE.' NOW IS THE TIME TO STAND TALL ALL ALONG THE FRONTLINES. Si Se Puede!!~ ... YES WE CAN. We can do anything together. People everywhere just want to be free.
