---PREVIOUS RECORD: Most Write-In Votes in History, Single Candidate: Ralph Nader-Independent, 1996: 333,000 (estimated).

*Dr. Dave headed Bernie's Write-In effort

TRUE TOTALS will probably never be quantified -- and lie somewhere between Nader's old record (333,000) and Bernie's new one (575,631): All due to the stark fact that several States flatly refuse to collate, or separate, aggregate Write-In totals from each specific candidate's final tabulation(s).******

AT THE END OF THE DAY, we were 17 states strong (minus Delaware & Kansas), w/ 15 states & federal districts agreeing to count all Write-In votes cast for Senator Bernard Sanders & Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard. We will never know what the historic total could have been in full participation.

DR. DAVE JOHNSON served as National Chair & spearheaded the bold Bernie Write-In movement in 2016 all the way to the bitter end, even against his will/without his consent, and despite all obstacles and odds. In the end, a new national record was set with 575,000+ votes overall, eclipsing Ralph Nader's 1996 mark of 333,000; additionally, Senator Sanders finished in favorite-son fashion with a credible third-place showing in Vermont (6%, greater than the Libertarian & Green foes combined, both of whom were on the ballot). Doctor Dave will take this same strident, staggering enthusiasm, vigor and vibrant sense of strategy and inclusion to pass the baton of excellence from the 2016 election cycle to the all-important 2018 midterm showdown(s). Keep the Faith -- Keep the torch burning. STAY The COURSE to a New Congress in 2018(!!)~........
